CIARA PYSCZYNSKI is an actor, singer and dancer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Because she knows you are wondering: her name is pronounced See-AIR-uh Pie-ZIN-ski.

Following a summer season with Theatre West Virginia, Ciara joined the Actor's Express Apprentice Company as an Acting Apprentice. During AE's 35th season, she had the honor and joy of performing in the main cast of Urinetown and understudying in Oh, To Be Pure Again, Prayer for the French Republic and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She also performed in two works written especially for the cohort: Operation: Playground, a play by Amina McIntyre, and Sunset on the Dogwood City, a narrative podcast by Addae Moon, Natasha Patel and Avery Sharpe. Ciara leant her PR training to her cohort via AppCo show posters, cast announcements, social media graphics and the playbill for the cohort's self-produced cabaret, The Not Showcase Showcase. Other duties included tending bar at front of house, crewing Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train and Hedwig and the Angry Inch and assisting in set strikes. Ciara also enjoyed AE's robust apprentice education programespecially the dance class!

As soon as she learned to sing, Ciara forced her parents (and anyone in the vicinity) to watch her perform, though it was a simple preschool musical that led her to fall in love with theatre. Ciara followed this passion throughout grade school and into college, pursuing a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Georgia and graduating summa cum laude in 2022.

Ciara's theatrical background is primarily in musical theatre, though she is interested in acting of all kinds. She trained in acting, voice and dance at the collegiate level, and continues to pursue growth in her craft. Her favorite style of dance is tap, but she also loves musical theatre jazz and picking up new routines of all genres.

In addition to performing, Ciara is interested in several other facets of theatrical production—should she not find herself on the stage one day, she hopes to be behind-the-scenes helping grow audiences and keep theatre not only alive, but thriving. She holds a B.A. in public relations and works by day as an Account Executive at an Atlanta PR agency, where she manages social media accounts, outreaches with local, trade and national media, and writes press releases, bylines, award applications and more (portfolio here!). Ciara also gained experience in artistic administration through her extracurricular involvement at UGA. She led student-run musical theatre company Next Act for two years as their Artistic Director, and she also served on the Department of Theatre and Film Studies' committees for season selection and event planning.
